That’s the one word I’d use to describe this baseball card, if you can call it that. I mean, while I never really understood why Jackie Kennedy Onassis was an “icon” and always thought she looked a bit “homely”, a photo somewhere on the front of this card would have been a little more appropriate than an eagle. I mean sure, I should be somewhat content but I guess the whole “printing error” made me lose interest in this card.
To Upper Deck’s credit, this card came in less than two weeks after I redeemed it. Considering I redeemed an autograph from 2007 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects 10 months ago and it still hasn’t shown up, Upper Deck did one hell of a job. They even had their customer service department email me to remind me this item was ready for pick up at Fed Ex.
I have to admit, seeing one of these in person is kind of strange. The scan does not do the card justice in any way. These are definitely cards you need to see & touch in person. Unfortunately, I don’t think it will sell for much, especially not without a cut signature.
This card will be on eBay by the end of the week. Wish me luck, as I need some extra cash for a down payment on a new vehicle. I finally ditched the American-made Mustang that has given me so much trouble over the last six months.
