The Marlins fans have spoken (RATED R)

5 07 2008

…and it’s clear the overall message is something along the lines of “Fire Freddy Gonzalez”, “Kill Kevin Gregg”, and the manager is a “fu**ing wh**e sh**t monger monkey feces eater”. No, seriously.

Now, I am a pretty laid back guy even when we do get the loss but these last two baseball games have brought out a lot of anger in me. On Thursday night Tatiana was awaken from her sleep by my cussing at the TV after Kevin Gregg gave up a walk-off hit in the 11th inning. I can’t even repeat the words that came out of my mouth last night after Gregg did it again.

The Marlins bullpen is trash. Taylor Tankersley, Renyel Pinto, and Kevin Greg are not Major League pitchers. They are guys who would not make any squad with a respectable salary. Of course, we are stuck with them because they are affordable. It’s clear our season is over. It’s only a matter of time before the New York Mets overlap us in the standings.

Hey, it was fun while it lasted.

Please, Mario, take Todd Jones back. I feel your pain.

Pinto needs to come off of your “die” list..he is a good bullpen guy, best we have i would say!! He is a pretty laid back guy so i dont know if he has the makeup of a closer but he needs to get the first look when they give up on Greg. PS we have a stud arm in Carolina that might get a look also.

What about Lindstrom as a closer? The guy is BUILT for the job with a 100 MPH fastball!

Joe Nelson has been pretty reliable thus far. I think we just need a bullpen make over! This is ridiculous. It’s killing me!

The problem with bullpens, though, is that they’re always so volatile. One year it’s a bunch of ragtag nobodies, the next year you’re leading the league in ERA. Trust me. Give them time, they’ll pull around.

FHM, look at Pinto. I HATE HIM SO MUCH. He almost cost your boy Volstad his first MLB win.
