Introducing your M.V.P…

19 11 2007

I’m going to go out on a limb and say this year’s American League M.V.P is none other than Alex Rodriguez. After all, despite his horrible image (Stray-Rod), his even worse playoff performance, and his public relations disaster of announcing his free agency minutes before the end of the World Series…he hit 56 home runs and 156 RBI, to go along with a .314 average and 26 stolen bases. That is almost the perfect season.

If you’re going to invest in A-Rod, his 1994 SP rookie card is the way to go and is generally accepted as his official rookie but if you have a little cash go out for his rarer cards like the 1994 Score Traded, 1994 Sportflics Artist Proof, or his rare 1994 Leaf Limited (pictured below). The Leaf is the first ever numbered baseball card in the industry, or so says this eBay listing.
