It’s official. Florida , specifically South Florida is a disaster when it comes to sports. First we have the Miami Dolphins, a once legendary team with the only undefeated season in the history of football. This year they are 0-8 with no hope in sight. Could an 0-16 season be around the corner? Maybe.
Then we have the Florida Marlins who have 2 World Championships in just under 15 seasons of existence but for some reason no matter how good they are no one comes to the games. No one! The funny thing is that when the team is dismantled by ownership the entire city throws a fit but it’s their own damn fault. Well, these Marlins are full of young stars but we are about to lose our main one, a young Venezuelan who could be the next big thing, if he wasn’t so addicted to food. Our former star pitcher? He enjoys taking leaks in front of police officers outside of night clubs. Our only bright spot is Hanley Ramirez, but he’ll probably be in pin stripes in a c0uple of seasons.
Don’t even get me started on the 0-5 Miami Heat with old man Shaq who barely scores 12-15 a game and is still somehow considered the “most dominant player in basketball”. Someone please explain that one to me. Dan LeBatard is right. Florida really IS for losers.
