A suprise from TNT-Toys.com!

8 10 2008

Many months ago I pulled a Dick Perez autograph from a box of 2007 Topps Turkey. After posting the video and product review, I got an e-mail from “Rob” who wanted to trade. After a couple of weeks the trade went off without a single hitch and we both went on our separate ways.

A few weeks ago when I put a Derek Jeter Silk card on eBay, Rob came from out of the woodwork and offered me two packs of 2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection for the card. To me, the trade sounded excellent but because the card did not belong to me, I had no say in the matter. Ultimately, the Infamous Tatiana turned down the offer and we lost the two packs of Ballpark.

Rob contacted me a few days later to inform me he was sending over a special card he pulled from U.D Ballpark. When the packaged arrived, I was shocked to see the logo on the box was of TNT-Toys, someone I have seen leave comments on Wax Heaven every now and then but didn’t know much about.

Basically, Rob wanted me to let the readers of Wax Heaven know that starting today and through 2009 they will be buying cases of every single baseball product on the market so if you are looking for a good deal make sure to check them out on eBay or their website.

Now, he also sent over a 2008 Bowman Chrome Refractor of Hanley Ramirez but it’s the Willingham auto/game-used that made my day. Check out those shades. How often do we see a player wearing something other than Oakley’s while patrolling the outfield? Willingham is just a special player who barring another injury, will hit 30 home runs in 2009.

Many thanks to Rob for the wonderful package and good luck with the new business venture!

i like this card. It is unfortunate that we are straddled in such a fickle sports town that players of Willingham’s performance are overlooked. This is a very nice card, i have bid for one myself on the bay. I have opened 3 hobby boxes of this UD Ballpark Collection and felt that the cards had no real wow factor to them. The autos/jerseys are o.k but it has the feel of a mass produced product. This and the Hermida card i bought were nice though.Just saw the Uggla auto/jersey and auto/tag ud ballpark.Nice cards.

Is it just me or does Willingham look like a blind man in this picture … I’m looking for his seeing-eye dog.

I think TNT might’ve been where I got my Thundarr action figures from.
