There are just some things you don’t do in life. Beaning Gary “Metalface” Sheffield is one of them, unless you are Hall of Fame bound that is. You see, Garry is a little upset that he was hit by Fausto Carmona, that Victor Martinez “pointed” at him twice, and that Asdrubal Cabrera hit him in the head during a brawl that happened on Friday.
Seriously, Cleveland who the hell are all these guys? It won’t matter much longer because Gary did just about everything but say he was going to slaughter them in this interview. Victor, Fausto, and Asdrubal better hope that Gary doesn’t have any Steroids remnants in his system or you might find an Al Capone-like bloodbath in some dirty Cleveland burger house during the off-season.
By the way, what kind of name is Asdrubal and does any care that Gary is sitting on 497 home runs?
Sheffield is completely nuts. I don’t know what crazy world he’ living in, but in ours he’s a giant piece of crap.
As a Yankees fan I never cared for him. He had an ego the size of the city.
As a life long Tigers fan, I was pissed to see Sheff come our way. The guy has done nothing to change my opinion of him. If you need a line-shot 50 feet foul of the left field line, or a 3 hopper to short, Sheff is your man. The guy will have hall-of-fame worthy numbers by the time his career is over. But, what an a-hole.
I agree with Motherscratcher23, Sheffield is a guy who sees himself before he sees the team, as shown with his spat with Leyland this year.

I always liked Sheff. I don’t care for his personality most of the time, but on the field I enjoy watching him play. If I am flipping between 2 games and Sheff is at bat I stop. There’s not too many players in the league that I would do that for… probably less than 10!
Sheffield has a problem with every team and everybody. For his entire career he’s been like that. Hmmm. Maybe HE’S the problem. Someday, he’ll figure that out. Someday.
