Today, is officially the greatest day of my life.
There may be a giant bullseye on South Florida for Hurricane Ike but things are beginning to look up because it has just been announced that after over 15 years of speculation, Ghostsbusters is coming back with the original cast!
From a collector’s point of view, you can check out this amazing eBay auction that features every single Ghostbusters toy ever made. The seller is asking for $8,500 which sounds a bit pricey but who wouldn’t pay that much to bring back a bit of your childhood? You can check out his entire collection scanned one by one, here.
If they can make Sigourney Weaver look anything like she did in Galaxy Quest, I am in! Also, for the love of all things holy in the movie world, please force Rick Moranis to unretire from making movies. Please let him be in Ghostbusters III, for Wax Heaven.

I watched “Death and the Maiden” on IFC last night… She is one scary chick, man…
Aside from a few that have already been mentioned, these are some of my favorites form Ghost Busters:
“I collect spores, molds, and fungus.”
“That’s the bedroom, but nothing ever happened in there.”…”What a crime.”
and my favorite:
“Many Shuvs and Zools knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slore that day, I can tell you! ”
That last one – there have been a few times where I’ve finished a story or a funny anecdote with that line and, to this day, not a single person has ever known what the heck I’m talking about. I can’t help but laugh and people usually begin to slowly back away from me. Strangely, it never seemed to help when I attempted to explain it.
