This year has been a disaster for Marlins catchers Matt Treanor, Mike Rabelo, and Paul Hoover. It’s been a while since the Marlins had a decent backstop with a bat (Charles Johnson was so mediocre) but we are expecting great things from Skipworth, who was drafted #1 by the Fish. Last weekend Wax Heaven was able to meet and take a photograph with Kyle but my hope is that we can get some action shots before his season with the Gulf Coast Marlins (rookie ball) winds down on August 27th. Since the Florida Marlins are out of town this weekend I have managed to talk Tatiana into making the long trip North to Jupiter to attend another Hammerheads game since it is being reported that Andrew Miller will now start this Sunday’s game against the Daytona Cubs and Charlie’s favorite pitcher, Rich Hill.
It should make for a great game, if all goes well. “Hulk” Logan, Andrew Miller, Vasili Spanos, and the guy that does the sick impression of Uncle Rico, Rich Hill. When did Minor League Baseball become so damn fun? If we attend, you can expect many, many photos and scans of the autographs we score.
