Marlins baseball!!!
26 07 2008When the Marlins vs. Cubs game began this afternoon Kerry Woods was unavailable as he sat on the Disable List. Meanwhile, the Marlins came in with our two big stars (Uggla & Ramirez) struggling big time. By the end of the game in the 12th inning, our guys had struck out 20 times versus the Cubs pitching staff. Isn’t it ironic?
We still won the game.
Chris Volstad pitched a strong six innings but walked away with a no-decision while tattooed Justin Miller picked up a win and my former most-hated man, Kevin Gregg picked up his 22nd save. Did I forget to mention Kevin Gregg is good with the fans? At this point, I don’t see Chris Volstad picking up another win until he apologizes to the Baseball Gods for shunning his two fans from Wax Heaven.
I kid, I kid of course but next Sunday we will be attending the Marlins game and will try to get on Mr. Volstad’s good side. As for Kevin Gregg, he has come back from his awful outings in Colorado a month ago and has landed on our good side again.
The thing is, our next home game we are going to is against Colorado.
