On days like this it’s incredibly challenging to be a baseball fan in South Florida. We arrived to the stadium before any single fan (around 10 A.M) and from that moment until the police chased all the autograph hunters away at 5:30 PM we were burning to death in the Florida heat.
From my seats (we got to move around a lot) I could hear children complaining to their parents about the heat, headaches, and more. It was brutal and it never let up. No wonder no one wants to attend Marlins games, a day game at Dolphin Stadium is the closest thing to hell you will ever experience in Miami.
In case anyone doesn’t know, the Marlins won by a Jorge Cantu walk-off hit in the 11th inning. After the game, Jaime Moyer cursed out autograph hounds and rightfully so! Photos and story coming soon!
Finally, I found a boy at the stadium who printed out a full-color photo that I took during Spring Training and was trying to get it signed. This is the image HERE. If anyone doesn’t know, every single photo you see relating to Marlins wrap-ups are taken by me, Mario Alejandro. In the future I might add a small watermark not for credit but for a little recognition in case anyone else prints my photos. Man, I was so honored and spent the next 30 minutes calling people up on the phone to tell them about it.
Anyways, more pictures and the Jaime Moyer Incident coming soon!
